A friend of mine collects vintage rotary telephones. He has always been concerned with changing from his traditional Bell service land line to a more cost effect VOIP – voice over internet phone system.

His concern is that his classic rotary phone will not work or ring on the new phone systems. He has a collection of rotary dial phones and often likes to hear several of them ring at a time. Needless to say, if the new phone system caused the phones to fail he would be very unhappy.

Good news indeed. Vintage rotary phones work with today’s new systems. You can still hear the sound of the brass ringer bells in your rotary dial desk phone or rotary dial wall phone. Even your pink Princess phone, with it’s exterior bell and power system, will ring proudly today just as it did fifty years ago!
